Camping in the state up north

Last weekend we joined mom and dad at Harbortown RV resort in Monroe, Michigan. Yes, we felt dirty just being in the state and it really stunk, but the campground was awesome!!! What made it even more fun was that all of dad's bass club camps there too for the week and they all camp with each other creating their own little bass club camp community :) Was just like old times growing up with all the ol' bass club people!!

We ended Friday night with some awesome deliciousness! We were introduced to the wonderful world of Campfire Pies. In all the years of camping I had never had one, much less heard of one!! You start out with Pillsbury Crescent rolls. Roll them out into rectangles. Fill with any filling you want! We made peach, cherry, crumbled Reeses, pizza, S'mores, cinnamon Brown Sugar, oh they were SOO heavenly!!! Then you fold over the crescents to make a nice little "hot pocket" and place in this cute little Campfire Pie gadget. Cook over campfire for what looked to be about 5-7 minutes and you get......

On Saturday morning, mom, Brett and me went to the Carter's Outlet that was right across the street!! We loaded up on so many great deals, Gabriel's little wardrobe is looking much better! Mom had a great time buying for her first grandbaby for the very first time! I actually had to tell her to stop!! :)

On Saturday night the group has their Big Feast! They get together and have dinners all week, but Saturday is held for steaks, favorite pasta salad recipes, delicious side dishes and amazing desserts! Everyone brings their best of the best to the table!!

After the feast, everyone heads over to the go-karts that are right on the campground for some racing, and crashing!!!

I think they had to stop for a crash about 5 or 6 times, I'm sure the workers were so glad to see our group leave! :)

Such a great time with family, relaxing and cooling off in the pool, catching up with old friends, and enjoying great food! I can't wait to go again next year!!
