We drove to Philadelphia, PA for our good friends' Eric Schnittke and Maureen Williams' wedding! Brett was a groomsman in the wedding and we were excited for a weekend of celebration and probably our last little vacation together as just the two of us. :)
After some wedding business, we all headed downtown to Reading Terminal Market. This place is a HUGE market where you can buy meat, fish, produce, flowers, and of course grab an amazing meal from one of MANY vendors!! It was basically like the Fair all packed into one large building!

After lunch, Eric and Maureen took us on a sightseeing tour of Philly!Here we are at the Liberty Bell!!

We then made our way over to Independence Hall for a guided tour.
We were a little bummed out that it was covered up with scaffolding. But at least they had a picture cover in front of it so you could get an idea of what it really looked like ;)

Assembly Hall....the "delivery room" of our country. In this room a group of men said that enough was enough, and went against everything they had known, and founded the greatest country ever created. In this room the Declaration of Independence, and the U.S. Constitution were debated and ultimately signed.
Brett and Eric sang bits and pieces of songs from the musical 1776. So they were very excited to have their picture taken in Independence Hall.....
While downtown we came upon a Masonic Temple, we thought Grandpa would appreciate this! :)

On Saturday, before the rehearsal, Brett and I set out to find Philly finest Cheesesteak!And we found it in the shadiest part of town at Jim's Steaks and Hoagies :)
While scary on the outside, the people inside were great, proving you can't judge a book by it's cover!
And then we thoroughly enjoyed THIS, the almighty Cheesesteak!!! YUM!!!
At the Rehearsal Dinner, Eric read a beautiful poem to Maureen and had not only her in tears, but most of the rest of the women in the room with misty eyes as well!! Well done Eric! :)
Maureen is a big Phillies Fan. Eric is a big Indians Fan. So the Groomsmen got Eric a Phillies shirt he could wear to the games with Maureen :)On Sunday, we all cleaned up and got gussied up for The Event!!
